Our History

Dr. Kelly and his wife Jodi opened Stonecliff Animal Clinic as a full service small and large animal veterinary facility in Bradford, Vermont in 1990. For nineteen years the Kelly’s provided the finest veterinary care to their patients and owners as well as being a leader in community service.

The Kelly’s realized early on that the area was in desperate need for a centralized veterinary emergency hospital. Veterinarians had the choice of seeing their own patients every night and holidays on emergency, sharing with local practices where the quality of care may not be the same as what they were use to, or traveling to Burlington or Concord to the closest 24-hour veterinary critical care hospital.
After many years of deliberation, the Kelly’s chose to sell the Bradford clinic in order to facilitate creating a local 24-hour critical care veterinary hospital in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. Their dreams have been realized, with the opening in the summer of 2009, of Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Services, a 24-hour a day, 365 days a year, veterinary emergency, critical care veterinary facility right off I-89 at exit 18 in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Rest assured, if you have been familiar with Stonecliff in the past you know that we are a group of compassionate and caring professionals that treat both you and your pets with respect and kindness. If you’re new to our veterinary family, please stop in a meet us. We are the leaders in veterinary emergency and critical care services in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont.
