Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Services is a group of veterinary professionals that have one very common vein that runs through them. We all love animals!

We are proud of the job we do, proud of the lives we save, and proud of our commitment to our community. We work long hours, usually when the rest of the community is sleeping. Our skills are the finest, we have taken many, many years to fine tune them. Our knowledge is extensive.
Because we care for critical patients, our hospital must be equipped with the most advance equipment, our shelves with the most advanced medicines, our staff with the most knowledgeable people. All of this costs money. Because of these differences, you may find our fees are higher then your regular veterinary hospital.
How Are We Different
We are here for you, and we are so very different then many veterinary emergency hospitals! We understand that the cost of veterinary care can sometimes be very expensive. If your dog or cat regularly visits one of our networked hospitals, then you are one lucky pet owner. Here at Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Services we value the trust and commitment our referring veterinarians have made to our emergency hospital. We are rewarding their patients by providing a discounted emergency fee to all of their clients for after-hours care:
Participating Networked Hospital $55.00 emergency exam
Non-Networked Hospital $95.00 emergency exam
You also benefit if your dog or cat has a minor illness during regular working hours, 8am to 5pm. This means that you can bring your dog or cat into Small Animal Veterinary Emergency Services during the day without incurring a huge emergency fee. So remember, if your regular veterinarian can not get you in, call us, we can always see your dog or cat, and forget that large emergency fee!
What Happens Next
We will provide each client with a detailed “treatment plan”. This plan will be presented when you first arrive, after the initial patient exam. This detailed “estimate” will give you an idea of our charges, and the path the veterinarian will need to take in order to evaluate your dog or cat. Like a complicated puzzle, as the veterinarian begins to work through the diagnostics, he/she may need to change this plan depending on what clues about your cat or dog’s illness may surface. Our staff will continually keep you informed on the path that must be taken and the costs associated with that plan.
Our staff will ask that you leave a deposit when your pet is first admitted to the hospital. The deposit is typically half of the estimated “treatment plan”. When your patient is discharged, the balance of the fees will be collected.
We offer our clients many payment options. Cash, personal check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit are always excepted.
We also have other payment options for extreme situations. These include the “Brutus Memorial Fund” and some internal financing plans. For more information, please call us at 603.306.0007
