End of Life Arrangements

There are a number of wonderful ways to memorialize your beloved pet.

Please accept our deepest sympathies for the loss of your beloved pet.

Our pets are members of our families and being faced with end-of-life and aftercare decisions can be upsetting and overwhelming. During this difficult time, we would like to help make the next steps easier for you. Please call us at (603) 306-0007 if you have any questions after you leave our hospital. We hope that you find some comfort in the memories of your pet and that those memories will one day replace your sorrow.

Cremation Services:

Cremation Services are provided by Final Gift.

Phone: 1-(800) 477-5044

After an end-of-life service, clients will receive an email to log into EternalMemories.com to select aftercare services and memorial products (urns, keepsakes, paw prints etc). Clients can also choose if they would like their beloved pet’s remains shipped directly to their home or sent to SAVES for in-person pick-up. Final Gift will also call clients every 24 hours until all decisions are made to ensure all arrangements are accurate.

All fees associated with aftercare service from Final Gift will be billed to the client by Final Gift. SAVES does not collect any funds for cremation services. Payments remitted at SAVES are only for euthanasia and post-mortem care.

COMMUNAL CREMATION:

If you have chosen Communal Cremation  (you do not wish to have your pet’s ashes returned to you), no further action is needed on your part. Payment for this service is included in the end-of-life service fees collected by SAVES. If you have selected to have a paw print keepsake, a Pawpals® pay print impression will be provided to you during your visit at SAVES. Final Gift will scatter your pet’s cremains at the beautiful Angel View Pet Cemetery in Middleboro, MA.

PRIVATE CREMATION:

If you have chosen Private Cremation (you do wish to have your pet’s ashes returned to you), Final Gift will charge you directly for the cremation and keepsake items you select, no fees for this service will be collected by SAVES. Final Gift has multiple complimentary urns to choose from in addition to specialty urns for an additional fee. Once an urn and any keepsake items are selected, you can choose to have these items shipped directly to your home or to SAVES for easy pickup. If choosing the latter, you will receive a phone call once all items are at SAVES and ready for pickup.

Burial Services:

If you would like to bring your pet home for Private Burial, you can choose to have your pet placed in either a complementary cardboard casket or a complementary biodegradable bag. We have limited availability to hold remains at our hospital if you are unable to bring your pet’s body home with you immediately following your visit. Please call us in advance (minimum 4 hours) to arrange a time to pick up your pet’s remains.

You may make arrangements for a different pet funeral service to pick up your pet’s remains if you prefer. Once arrangements are in place, please be sure to contact us with the name of the funeral service and date and time of pick-up so that we can be sure pick-up is facilitated.

There are several pet cemeteries in New Hampshire. We encourage you to do your own research to find the cemetery that works best for you and your family, our team will assist as needed.
